Just go!
It seems like all runners obsess over time/pace. In the end, it's just great to get outside and run. Forget the pace, music, etc.
Just enjoy the fact that you are able to go out and run. This week, I will run without music:) Whoa!

Up and down week!
I haven't been consistent with blogging or running this week. I ran four days out of five, which wasn't too bad. I think my body and mind needed a break over the weekend too. I can tell you that I am super stoked to get back into my groove this week.
My plan is to run 5 days this week and cross train 3. I hope you are enjoying your weekend and thanks for reading!

Finalizing the race schedule this week!
I hope you had a great weekend! I used this weekend to rest my legs after a good week of running. Mentally, I am recharging too. In past month or so, I have been debating which full marathon to sign up for. I am so close to pulling the trigger.
Once I pull the trigger and sign up for the big race, the rest of the schedule will fill in nicely. I can't wait to tell you about my full marathon signup. Stay tuned!

Getting a rhythm back
For the past week, I worked hard at getting out the door quicker. On four of my five running days, I was quick out the door.
Once I started running, I focused on my pace. On Monday, it was great. I ran fast. Every day after Monday, I struggled to maintain a faster pace.
It's OK though because my focus was getting out the door. To build this week, get out the door and run faster.
It's all about building blocks, so time to rock!

The #200!
Oh my goodness! This is my 200th blog post on "marathon my personal journey"! I am so excited, thrilled and honored that you read my blog. I get so much energy and motivation from each of you.Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
I can't say it enough. I have been trying to decide on this year's mission/marathon. I have been soul searching a ton lately and still haven't decided yet. This morning on my blog, this group advertised. I clicked the link and found myself watching this video.
The video is funny, touching and motivating. They have my full attention on this one. I love helping other people, especially those who are disabled or are poor. We are so lucky to have everything that we do. If you do me two favors (one for each 100 blog posts)....
1. Give thanks for what you have, tell the people you love and respect "thank you". It will make you feel good and they will know how you feel about them. Two big pluses.
2. Watch this video and have fun with it.
Our Lady of the Angels
This morning I was thinking about running a smaller race closer to home. I was going to sit out a year for charity running. However, I may have to re-consider it for awhile. I have time to think about the big decision. For now, let's all smile.

Focusing on one small thing in the next two weeks...
I have noticed myself having difficulty getting "out the door" in a timely fashion lately. This negatively impacts my running schedule, so I am going to focus on getting ready and out the door in 5-10 minutes. When I get out running, it goes so well. I am not sure why I struggle getting out the door. Here is my plan.1. Set all of my gear out the night before.
2. Get to bed earlier.
3. Measure my time to get out the door.
4. Make it fun!
I am excited about this new plan!
